For custom ceramic tile, I work with you to develop
your concept into a sketch, which you must approve before I start
work, and then I create the decorative art tiles that
become the pride and joy of your home - to show off and
enjoy...
From sketch... (To be approved
by the customer).
To
samples...
(Details
are sometimes difficult to capture with my
camera...)
To installation...
(To be loved by the
customer!)

From customer approved sketch to finished
tiles...this cheerful "mango" backsplash is on its way to being
installed.

If you love windmills...this is
Swaffham-Prior in the UK. These tiles were custom made for one
of the millers based on his photos. Here's
another tile for Fierville-les-Mines in France. The tile is
now on display in the window at
Swaffham-Prior!

As a tile designer I work with
the customer to develop a concept that is illustrated in a hand
sketch. Once approved I hand make the tiles, and, in this
case, for the banana palm shown above, I also installed the
backsplash.

From sketch to installation...
The Palmetto and Crescent tiles work well in these
South Carolina homes.

tile) (12" X 14" tile)
The bath tiles below have the same border as the
palmetto, but with pineapples and palm trees.

Reproductions: custom design services also
include replacement tiles that can be made to match an existing
installation as in the case of this award-winning historic home in
Pennsylvania...
Customer
feedback: "Hi Sharon, the tile came today and it turned out
GREAT! Thank you so
much." Louis Rotegliano, award
winning Interior Designer, Harrisburg, PA"
The center
tile shown below is the original the others are examples
of my handpainted reproductions made to replace the damaged
tiles in Mr. Rotegliano's home.

The designer, Louis
Rotegliano expanded on the original installation by adding this
custom fountain, also incorporating my hand-painted
tiles. A custom pencil liner was created
for the fountain installation and field tiles were made with
intentional color variation to authenticate the
look.
